Hello all-
A very wise friend suggested a good way to keep in touch is to send a weekly email. As I am not a blogger (although  I  love reading each of yours, thank you) and am not going on facebook I thought I would try one post and encourage you to do the same. As it is so much quicker and sanitary than actual meetings.

We had a very different Christmas as we were quarantined from the Corn's because we brought the stomach flu home from our trip to Utah. We did however open presents and the kids got swimming suits. WE tested them out later in the week everyone's worked great. But Harold is going to need to grow a bit more to secure his in the water. He informed me they almost floated away when they came untied while swimming.

The big present from Santa/Mom as John kept reminding everyone Santa isn't real... were stick horses made by mom. Thanks to Aunt NAtalie and Uncle "Ben they came together and are a huge hit. And for reference a bridle or some sort of rope thing is very necessary. I could not understand how kids held the rope and the stick but they have been demonstrating for a week and well I should have done that. But for no instructions just a basic pattern and seeing the horses once I think they turned out cute and they are definitely being used.

On New Years Day it was 1 degree in the morning. But that did not stop my work crew from working on the branches Uncle Justin had cut down at Thanksgiving. I have such an unfettered view now, I can see for miles. I love it. The last picture is of Reed safe and warm inside wishing he could come play in the snow.

And finally before Christmas on Dec 5th to be exact we were able to celebrate Harold's decision to be baptized by his dad in Nyssa Oregon. It was a great night with Uncle Kevin giving a great talk about baptism not being literally re-born but believing in Christ and doing what he asks. Harold was one of 2 boys that got baptized and confirmed that night. We then had banana splits at Grandma Corn's. We had not had these awesome treats many times before and I think they will be often requested here on out. Especially since Grandma and Papa Corn kept offering seconds and thirds.

Fast Sunday Harold, Anna, and Aliza all bore their testimonies. They practice this at home and tell mom before they stand up what they want to say and then they do it. We are so proud of their ability and confidence in sharing their feelings about the savior, the scriptures, and baptism. I think one of the best parts of being a parent is teaching your children the gospel and seeing/hearing them really get it.

WE really enjoyed the time we were able to spend with family and friends this holiday season. Although we shared our plague with all who came in contact with us we are thankful for forgiveness and that it was relatively quick. Love to you all and best wishes for a great New Year.
